HedgeHogs

Remember to check your bonfire before lighting it. Check the undergrowth before strimming. Also keep shed doors closed they have a habit of getting locked in. If you can make a hedgehog highway by having a hole in your fence so they can get between gardens that's brilliant. Never give a hog milk as they are lactose intolerant. If you feed them they like cat or dog food and scrambled egg made with water.

At the moment there are lots of baby hedgehogs that still need their mums . There are groups that help with hedgehog rescue if you find one that is ill.

If you can make a shelter for a hedge hog in your garden you can make a real difference to their chances of survival
